-On Thursday September 8th in a Moore County, NC court, Jeff Hardy pled guilty to two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and one count of conspiracy to traffic an opium-containing substance, all felonies. Ordered to serve 10 days in jail and a $100,000 fine by Judge Joseph Turner, several other charges(including trafficking in opium by possession, possession of cocaine and maintaining a dwelling for keeping & selling controlled substances) were dropped as part of a plea deal. His prison sentence of 20-33 months was suspended on the condition of continuing to attend an outpatient drug-counseling program and complying with the terms of probation, which lasts another 30 months. Hardy's lawyer james Van Camp's request to the judge that Hardy be allowed to travel to continue working(including this weekend's TNA tour of the northeast, starting tonight in Rahway, NJ's Rec Center) was granted, as it's speculated that he will not be serving jail time immediately. The charges stem from a September, 2009 bust of Hardy's house, a day after a suspicious package containing a Maxwell House coffee can with 262 hydrocodone prescription pain pills inside arrived in the mail from fan Thomas Ray Cruz. Intercepted by the FedEx distribution center, police resealed the package and had it delivered, raiding the house in the 200 block of Boy's Camp Road outside of Cameron when Hardy accepted the package. Cruz(now living in Kissimmee, FL, the same state he met Hardy in after a WWE event around that time) was arrested in Moore County in November 2010 on charges of conspiracy to traffic opium & two counts of trafficking opium, freed on a $50,000 bond with his next court date in November(Credit : Fayetteville Observer, prowrestling.net).

Though Angle's attorney Frank Smith claims he passed a breathalyzer test he was asked to submit to(his blood alcohol level was 0.06 in a Certificate of Blood Alcohol Analysis Angle posted online, with 0.08 being the state's legal limit), State Trooper C.R. Scally said Angle had a BAC of 0.091 when initially tested and will not be admissible in court(due to what attorney C. Todd Gilbert claims is a flawed and "inherently unreliable" handheld field test unit), while Angle's 0.06 came later Sunday morning. A breathalyzer test was negative for alcohol but Hardy was unable to walk more than a few steps toe-to-toe in a straight line without stumbling and failed a field sobriety test. A North Carolina Highway Patrol drug recognition officer determined Hardy was likely under the influence of drugs and blood was drawn for lab analysis.
